Highway Update 10/31

Happy Halloween. We have been working on getting the plows ready for winter. All of the plows are ready to go at this point.

Week 21 July 13

Finished removing all trees and bushes from the intersection of Lincoln and Franklin Rd. Worked on paper work for upcoming road work between the Townships on Erin Rd and Townline Rd Intersection. Continued the Second Cut on the Towns Roadsides. The Road work progress this week: Pulverization of Erin Rd from Lincoln to Townline Rd and Resthaven Rd from Harding north 830' or so up Resthaven Rd. The above road work is scheduled to be complete by the end of next week. Still no word from Scott Construction on the Warranty work to be done on Town MM - Adam Rd - and Oak St.

Road Work 2013

Payne / Dolan will be starting to crush Resthaven Road from Harding North 831 Feet TOMORROW 25 July 2013 July 2013. Once that is complete they will next grade, lay Asphalt and Shoulder. They will start crushing Erin Road From Lincoln Rd South to Townline road to include the intersection of Townline and Erin on Friday 26 July 2013. Once that is complete they will next grade, lay asphalt and shoulder. The project should be completed by the end of next week which is 2 Aug 2013.

Week 14 July 13

Cleaned up what was needed of the Highway Dept. at the Picnic. Cut down or trimmed trees or brush off of Erin Rd to get ready for the road work to be done the end of next week. Filled more Wash-Out areas around town, Started "ROUND 2" of the road side mowing.

Week 7 July 13

Assisted Fire Dept. on getting park ready for picnic, ie.. Grading lot and track, moved bleachers over, final cut parking lot, and whatever else they needed, Took in Recyclables (Plastics and Cardboard) Finished first round of roadside cutting, took down some trees on the roadsides, took care of recycling brush.

Week 30 Jun 13

We will be complete (if no problems or situations arise ) with all the Road Side Cutting on Monday 8 July 2013. We had a little problem with cutting on Wed 3 July 2013. Harding, Resthaven, Rolefson - second cut - Cherry and Filmore - both cuts (1st and 2nd).

Worked on the intersection of Lincoln and Franklin. I cut all the trees in the RW (right way) that were blocking the view of  the West bound traffic on Lincoln from Franklin. This is the Southeast corner of the intersection, I will be doing the Northeast corner soon, however - I have to Cut down or Trim trees on Erin road to get ready for the upcoming road replacement that will be going on their from Lincoln to Town Line.

Plus all daily work that we do every day besides the above ,ie.. Recycle Ctr, Baseball fields, Parks, Cemeteries- etc.....

Week 24 Jun 13

This week we Continued to cut road sides. We are working thru some trials and tribulations, However we will complete our first run around by the end of next week / Cut down some trees that were encroaching the roadways - many more of them to come down /  Picked up the downtown and Lincoln Route  new road signage, So you will be seeing new traffic signs going up in these areas in the future / Started to weed all bridges and culverts to keep them free of brush and debris / keeping the brush chipped at the recycle center and maintaining the shop.

The upcoming road work is in a delay pattern right now due to the weather, will keep you posted as I receive information from Pane/Dolan (Resurface work Erin Rd and Resthaven Rd) and Scott ( Hwy MM, Adams, Oak road Seal Coating Warranty work)
